  1. I saw Sausage Party over the weekend, and I actually thought it was pretty hilarious. Sure it's immature and offensive, but that's kinda the point. I thought it was rather creative at times, plus the satirization of organized religion was interesting too. The audience I was watching it with really cracked up through most of the movie too. I bet it's probably not gonna win many awards if any, but I enjoyed the movie a lot more than I thought I would.
  2. Pete's Dragon (2016) Wow, of all the remakes Disney's been making, this one actually beats the original. I left the theater with a warm fuzzy feeling.
  3. Nice review. Since I Left You of one of my top favorite albums, and while Wildflower might not reach the heights of The Avalanches' first album, it's still pretty damn great. Since it came out I still play a few tracks from it now and then.
  4. Ghostbusters (2016) So yeah, I thought it was decent, pretty good even. Doesn't really deserve the negative buzz it got I think, and sure it does pale compared to the original, but I liked the new cast and I had a fun time with it.
  5. Just heard the announcement from San Diego Comic-Con: The MST3K reboot will be airing on Netflix! A great choice I think.
  6. Bye

Best of luck Mashu, see ya.
  7. Hey guys, you ought to watch Stranger Things which recently came out on Netflix! Watched all 8 episodes over the weekend. It's basically a sci-fi/horror homage to 80s films and shows from Steven Spielberg, John Carpenter, Steven King and the like, and it's extremely well done. It has to be the most fun I've had watching a series in a long time, and I highly recommended checking it out.
  8. The BFG A very good and heartfelt family film from Spielberg.
  9. Saving Private Ryan One of the most violent war films I've seen, but also one of the best.
  10. Gonna bump this thread since there's a big reunion show coming out tomorrow. Already got my tickets!
  11. Midnight Special Very good, felt a lot like an 80s sci-fi Spielberg film. Jeff Nichols is becoming a very promising director.
  12. Finding Dory I really liked it a lot. Sure, it doesn't top the first movie, but I thought it was a solid sequel with plenty of funny, heartwarming moments.
  13. The Invitation (2015)
