Okay seriously this is probably my favorite scene in any movie
"You get that for killin Jews?"
Not the best scene in the movie, but a great one nonetheless.
How could I forget the most iconic scene in cinematic history
Amazing how you can get a bit of art history out of an animated film from the '60s.
...for the record, the entire hula bit was improvised.
I still crack up at this scene every time.
While Drive is a great movie through and through I think the best thing about it is the intro scene. It sets up the character, the tone, the setting etc. while also acting as its own interesting contained story as well. But what really makes it the best intro of anything ever is the way the scene ends with the ball game announcer on the radio matching up perfectly with the car chase action and the crowds cheering just as our protagonist succeeds in alluding the police. It's so perfect it gives me goosebumps as he walks away in a sea of people right in front of the cops who were chasing him seconds early. Cue Nightcall from Kavinsky and a beautiful opening shot of the city and I'm fucking nutting.
Brazil is an awesome movie. But the ending blew me away.
Still the most satisfying ending in the world of cinema.
