If you haven't read yet, I encourage you to do so to understand why we can't have any more individual help threads. They will be closed from now on, regardless of whether or not any help is given, because now we're making it way too easy to get help.

This thread serves a very important purpose--it's where you will ask questions not specific to editing problems (though they can be--no biggie) for ANYTHING concerning YouTube Poop.

"How do I stutter?" "What's a good way to repeat?" "How do I do 0:34 in [posted_video]"

You can ask all this and more here, and one of our trained technicians will get back to you ASAP! Thank you for shopping Carsons Collectibles YouChew.

One of your sources is probably corrupted.

It won't save project files or will it just not render videos? If it can't save project files, you might have to look for another WMM to install, but I wouldn't even know where to look for WMM.

In my case every time it can't render a video, it's because there was something about the source that it didn't like--even if it plays perfectly well. I think it has something to do with the source video's encoding, or it just might be corrupt.

While I'm thinking about it, a good tip for WMM would be rendering all of the source videos you plan to use in your project before you start. That gives you a good measure if they're usable or not, that way you don't end up spending three days making a video and then when rendering time comes, you learn the hard way like I did in the past.

Yeah, corrupted video files most likely occur whenever you use a source that was converted with a site like MediaConverter and iDesktop. Though most of the time I was able to work around that when I was using WMM at the time. Before I actually start playing around with a source, I would import that source as separate clips instead of just one big clip, and then I would play those clips normally with WMM's video player. If the video stops unexpectedly, then it tells me that part of the clip is corrupted. And when I finally go ahead and start playing around with the video clips in the timeline, I would simply just edit out a few seconds of that corrupted part of the video.

For some reason, when I pitchshift in Premiere and I turn off the Format Preserve, it becomes silent when exported. This has barred me from YTPMV's, which I don't really make, but it still bugs me. How do I fix this?

I'm not sure if this is in the right thread (janitors may feel free to delete it if it isn't), but does anyone know of a good online video transcoder that accepts files larger than 100 Mb?

This is the perfect thread to ask--this is the 1-800-YTP-HELP hotline, to service all your needs.

Now, I think that online-convert.com will convert files that large for you; I know you can upload a file for conversion, there, and I'm pretty sure there isn't a limit to the file size. I think, though, that most browsers put a 2gb cap on what you can upload without some sort of java applet. So unless you need to convert something like a whole movie, it should work.

Now, though--unless you really need to use an online transcoding service--you might want to consider a local transcoder like Freemake. Not only converts files and downloads from YouTube, it rips unprotected DVD's quite handily. I won't say it's the best, but it's the one I like the most.

I've always presumed transcoding was just a fancier word for converting and both were interchangeable terms; I might be wrong.

I'm new here and want to know how to best share my old poops.

I did them a couple of years ago. The first one is completely missing since i took it down, and it was so obscure i guarantee you will not find it anywhere. The second one is on my old poop channel, I dont know if i can get into that channel anymore, but if i can it will become my new alt channel for random stuff. The third i took down, but i still have a copy of.

They are really bad poops, but just just incase someone wants to seem them, i'll be willing to reupload them. Where is the best place to put them? I want to keep them separate from my new poop that is in production, as that will hopefully be significantly better. I want to see peoples honest opinions on them, no matter how negative. I guess the best place would be the poop library, but how do i post videos in there?

Also, What is the best way of keeping sources? I am seriously low on hdd space at the moment and it will be a while before i get some more. I was thinking about waiting until i have more room, then downloading all the ones i could ever want and burn them on dvd so that i have a hard copy (so i dont have to worry about windows reinstalls)

there is a way to upload videos straight to the website but i dont really understand how it works. dopply or superyoshi would know

also get an external usb hard drive. never worry about space again

If you don't want to post those videos on YouTube, you could use an alternate site like DailyMotion or Vimeo and then link to them here in the Poop Library.

And yeah Stu is right, get an external hard drive.

I already have a 1tb Spinpoint f3 on its way, but it wont be here for about another month. Due to the floods in Thailand hdd prices are through the roof at the moment.

I'll upload the vids to the library, but how exactly do i do this? I cant make new posts in there.

You go to the Videos tab at the top, click Add Video, fill out the info, and then a thread is automatically created in the Poop Library forum section.

It's a little confusing, I know.
