Poop Adventure
Poop Adventure is the first completed poop-based game despite Youtube Poop: The Game was planned first. The game was developed in one week by Tiertex.
Plot[edit]
Is there one? Wait... Conrad Slater is fed up with all these poops full of AIDS so he sends 3 poopers; Stegblob, MrDrunkenFox & Misselaineous10 to save the day.
Areas[edit]
There are 5 areas in the game:
1. A New Day for the Poopers/A New Day for Youchew
A gentle scroll around but Bill O'Reilly has invaded the building ready to spin some political messages over Youchew.
2. Subterranean Spelunk
Going underground to encounter Spelunk, the old mole that can lead to freedom but he is going to take you down.
3. Flip City/Channel City
A busy city where some of the poopers live that is ruled by SuperYoshi and RetroJape who don't seem to be in. Regardless Koopone took over the city and opened the Koopa Klub. [Note: Koopone doesn't appear in the remixed version.]
4. Escape from Rudy Larriva
Stuck in a desert with no way to escape, the characters have to find a way even if it involves talking to CaptainFleaSam.
5. The Coney Island Disco Palace
The infamous stage where Mama Luigi went to save the Princess, the tides are turned however...
Behind the Scenes[edit]
Since the game was developed in one week, there were some creative differences. Originally it was going to be a Ghostbusters game until they realised that there was one (New Ghostbusters 2) so they decided with this. There was a plot revolving a betrayal but it was never developed into the plot. Many sprites (Stegblob battle, Robotnik, Scratch, Grounder) were last minute inclusions.
Stuff that was cut out:
- Each of the three poopers would have their own side mission, only Misselaineous10's made it in the game.
- There is a lost level called MrDrunkenFox's Citadel Mission, this would involve MrDrunkenFox going into an area (Naziland in the code) and defeat Hitler and his partner Von Vulture. The sprites for Hitler is in the omake folder.
- There was going to be a fourth pooper, but it wasn't decided.
- Arufonzu would have been in the game, either as the fourth pooper or as a role. Her Sailor Usagi Peasley avatar is in the omake folder.
- 1upclock, Ophios, Scorpion1996, DrPoopnik, Tentor, LuigiGodzillaGirl, BMATF, Bigluigiandsonicfan, Volken and Digdug25 (Bob) were going to be included but couldn't due to time constraints.
- Poop characters; Miltron, Tails, Von Vulture, King Koopa, Mario Luigi, Princess Toadstool, Greenback Koopa, Froggo, Chuck Rock, Alan and George were planned.
- An introduction based on Chuck Rock, Koopone's defeat and the credits were going to be in the game but taken out last minute due to codec issues.
- A place called Poopers Academy was planned.
- A different title screen music by Rob Hubbard.
Mistakes[edit]
Since Tiertex are known for mistakes, these are the mistakes in the game:
- The misspelling of Misselaineous as Miselaineous due to character limit. Also she does not resemble her character (probably due to Tiertex not doing enough research).
- Jim Tyer is spelt Jim Tyler.
- Wrong sprite for PapaGonzales.
- Congradulations is spelt as Congladurations. (or is it the other way round?)
Reception[edit]
Caused a spinoff called Super YTP RPG and hated by Fat Mann Judgeth, also a sequel is rumoured to be planned by the Aspect Company. Most common question amongst poopers were Was I in It? Oddly it received an okay response to many.
Poop Adventure Remix[edit]
To celebrate both 5 years of the forums and the game, a remixed version was made and was posted in the RPG Maker thread. Due to the changing times of the forums, there were some changes that had to be made:
- Stegblob and MrDrunkenFox were replaced by NegroTed and Intermission as they are more well known on the forums and post more however there is a way of playing the original characters. It also concidentally followed the pattern of having one popular member and a moderator like the original. Miss10 was made into a cameo.
- A completely different plot due to that AIDS no longer exists in the community, however it references the original plot.
- An extra stage called Subterranean Spelunk Revisited (that was originally planned for Poop Adventure 2) and the lost stage was included.
- Extra bosses include Victor Sullivan, Emperor Ing and ChrisGendo for a harder challenge.
- Features actual quotes from the forum.
- DLC options ranging from new characters to Seth McFarlane mode to 70s Mode.
- The unused Koopone video from the original can be viewed in game.
- Minor updates to the stages, most noticeablly in the Poop Tennis cafe and outside Chew Towers.
- A new soundtrack, removing the Ghostbusters 2 tracks and replaced with OutRun Europa and Winter Olympics as well as extras.
- A port of Poop Adventure 2 is included, the first stages were a pixel by pixel remake but later on having the original maps and as a result contained less than the demo with some touches dropped and the Road Runner port not included, however it feels more presentable to the player.
Trivia[edit]
- This game was originally called Beirut Breakout - a reference to Desert Strike.
- Poop Adventure Remix references this by having the Beirut Breakout title screen.
- Flip City, the song when the city gets Slimed in Ghostbusters 2 is referenced in both the song and the name of the 3rd stage.
- In the remixed version, it is called Channel City due to that the music played is the Channel stage from OutRun Europa.
- By concideance, the second level Subterranean Spelunk is also the second episode of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog (Subterranean Sonic) that had Spelunk in it.
- Is the direct inspiration for zacheatscrackers' YCPC (YouChewPoop Chronicles) series.
