Description[edit]
Ren and Stimpy is a Nickelodeon TV show from the 1990s known for its large amount of inappropriate material and bathroom humor, created by John Kricfalusi. It first aired in 1991, and finally ended in 1996, with 5 seasons. This series was technically continued by Ren and Stimpy: Adult Party Cartoon, but nobody wants to watch that.
The show is simply about a crazed arrogant chihuahua named Ren Hoek who usually lives with his best friend, a mentally retarded and obese cat named Stimpson "Stimpy" J. Cat. Together they go on zany adventures that nobody can really understand, while Stimpy is being a complete idiot, and Ren is usually being angry and trying to enjoy his life.
Sometimes, there are mock commercials for things like powdered toast and Log near the end of the episode.

The Ren Snaps Fad[edit]
Main article: Ren Snaps
A fad has spawned from the infamous scene in the episode "Stimpy's Fan Club," that involves replacing Ren with another character. These videos are usually titled something like "You DARE not agree with insert character here". A sub-fad had also emerged called "Ren Imitates insert character, thing, or company here" which is basically just the scene reuploaded. And yet again, a sub-fad of the 'Ren Imitates' fad appeared where the title is "Ren Imitates 95% of (insert fanbase here)."
